The CTC works closely with partners such as the U.S. Forest Service, Xcel Energy, and several corporate and private sponsors. The CTC provides programs and services that support community forestry across Colorado.

Our Mission

The Colorado Tree Coalition leads statewide efforts to preserve, renew, and enhance community forests.

What We Do

  • Arbor Day Poster Contest 2023 Winner

5th Grade Arbor Day Poster Contest

Trees touch many aspects of our daily lives. The Arbor Day Poster aims to increase students’ understanding of their relationship with the urban forest and the trees around them. Awareness of trees and their associated benefits is an important step toward the preservation and protection of our forests for future generations.

  • National Champion Bristlecone Pine

    Champion Tree Program

The Champion Tree Program recognizes the largest trees of species in the state. These trees are representative of Colorado’s rich history and diverse ecosystems. Through the Champion Tree Program we can document these important trees and promote their conservation and protection for future generations of Coloradoans.

  • 2019 Grant Recipient

    Grants

CTC’s grants promote community forestry. Grants help fund projects that enhance existing community forestry programs or develop new community forestry programs.

  • Unloading Day 2018

    Trees Across Colorado

Trees Across Colorado (TAC) provides low-cost trees to communities across our state. Tree species are selected to encourage greater species diversity to help promote resiliency in both urban and rural communities.

  • CommuniTree Awards

The CommuniTree Awards Program purpose is to recognize individuals and organizations that epitomize the mission of the Colorado Tree Coalition through their efforts to “preserve, renew and enhance Colorado's urban and community forests”.

  • Tree Risk Assessment Program

The CTC Risk Management Program is designed for managers of large tree populations in urban and community settings. This program can help organizations or communities manage these trees and is a way to start their tree risk management program.
