Applications must be returned by March 15th to be considered.  Five application sites are selected for the program each spring.   All applicants will be notified as to selection decisions by April 1st.  No payment is required to submit this application.  Selected cooperators will be asked to pay $91.67 per tree and will receive three trees.

Pinus bungeana     Lacebark Pine

 

The shape is pyramidal to pyramidal-oval or rounded, often with many trunks in youth.  Becoming open and picturesque with age.  The needles are lustrous bright green and a pleasant contrast in the landscape. The bark is beautiful and exfoliates in patches like a plane tree.  Young stems are greenish with irregular whitish or brownish area interspersed.  Lacebark Pine has good drought tolerance.  Matures to 30' to 35' with 15' to 20' spread.
